Many people were forced to buy or upgrade for a better word, to a digital TV set to adjust to the digital merging of CableTV providers. TV manufacturers have lured many customers in with their “thin” Flat Screens, which produce amazing pictures. In doing this, the audio gets a major slap in the face. It is hard to squeeze a good sounding speaker set into a 1” thick tv.

The term “expense” for many consumers when in relation to “surround sound” means an elaborate amount of money. This is where they are wrong. If guided in the right way, people with budgets can still enjoy the benefit of having a better sounding system without spending large quantities of money to have an elaborate freestanding or in ceiling/wall surround system to produce better sound.

Many consumers are just not aware of the different solutions and options that are out there. A simple pair of bookshelf speakers connected to a receiver and a subwoofer can dramatically make your system sound better and not break the bank in doing it.

Consumers that aren’t familiar with technology and the many varieties to choose from can often find themselves wandering through their local electronics superstores aimlessly. Checking out price tags, and not knowing the differences between them. There is a solution for this. Call the Wire Monkeys Team! We will help you every step of the way in selecting the best equipment within your budget.

Giving your integrator the information they need to put you into your price point really helps us provide you with different options within your budget. This is about home entertainment, and it was meant to be fun, not a headache! We can make that happen for YOU.

Yesterday was a great day! We installed a JVC RS50 Projection system with a 92″ Screen Innovations Black Diamond II screen into an old kids bedroom that our customer decided to convert into a media room. And let me tell you something… I am so impressed with how far projection technology has come. The machine was very quiet surprisingly enough. We had all the lights on, and there was a window on the right side of the wall if you were facing the screen. The picture was so bright with all of that ambient light coming in, and you could still see the picture quite clear. For the price and size of picture that you get with a projection system, who needs plasmas and led/lcd’s anymore? And one more thing, the lamps dont burn in for quite a while. I have had my same lamp for 4 years!!!

We also did a IP based power manager that allows the user to go to the browser based website, enter a username and password, and reset any devices online that are connected to the power manager. Now he can reset devices without touching a thing!

Well…it’s another new year, and much advancement in the wonderful world of custom automation! I have noticed a trend in which I must talk about. As new devices(receivers, Blu Ray players, Projectors and Flat screens, etc are being mass produced. Ive noticed one thing in the past year, less analog connections. I said to myself, hmmm, why is this happening? Finally after much conversation with my colleagues and business partners, I got the skinny. By the year 2013, all electronics manufacturers will have no choice but to design devices with NOTHING but digital connections. In a nutshell, everything is going more and more digital by the day. Anybody noticed the new AppleTV? With fiber optic technologies and HDMI advancing, soon enough the change will be made entirely. Sound familiar??? Aaah the wonderful CATV companies switching from analog to digital…. Let me make a suggestion, future proof your investments. Especially if you are building a custom home this year.

Call the Wire Monkeys Team! We will guide you step by step, and lead you on the way to the next generation of your technology needs. Don’t let your investment become a dinosaur museum by 2012.

Having an integrated lifestyle is a way of life! Sure you have the one’s that like it simple…. no TV’s, book readers, physical fitness 24/7. I am one of those….excluding the TV watching. No time for an integrated electonic lifestyle. I call them out on that one….. here’s why:

1. Everyone likes music right? Music is one of many things that helps make us who we are. Without music, there is an empty spot in our souls. Many times we forget our roots, and live stressful lives day in and day out. Sometimes it is hard to wake up and listen to music before work, during work, or any other times during the day. That’s just it! Having a Crestron system in your home makes it easy as a simple touch of a button on your phone, touch-panel interfaces, ipads, laptops, and of course TVs to start your day out right in any room in your house or even offices. On the go? Forgot to turn things off before you left? No problem! Your phone or any computer can turn things off in your house, while you’re away.

2. With lights, thermostats for heating and cooling a life space, it can be quite difficult to manage and keep things off, at certain temperatures during the month. Especially for homeowners with lots of kids. Crestron systems are meant to “schedule” these systems for you, to regulate all lights and thermostats, so that your monthly bills will be as low a possible every month!

3. Security? No problem…. Crestron has you covered!

4. Bottom line, even if you are the active, “no time for electronic systems” type of person, having a Crestron system in your home GIVES you more time to be active, listen to music easily, thus reducing stress(clinically proven), and saving you $$$ on utilities as well! Call the Wire Monkeys TEAM to learn more about ways to live a more simplistic stress free lifestyle!

I cannot express enough how important it is to have a rock solid power protection system for your AV gear. Most people have experienced at least one electrical overload in their living spaces, and sometimes it happens and the homeowner is unaware. Surge suppression is the most common item to be cut from the budget of a home electronics package, and it shouldn’t be!

Most typical store bought surge suppression devices do not offer the protection you need for your investment. It is highly recommended to have a power management system that will protect your equipment from harmful electrical damage to ensure proper functionality, and to deliver great sound and hi res video quality for years of enjoyment.
