“The Head Monkey”

When he was in grade school, Erik Riggs, President of Wire Monkeys, Home Entertainment Solutions, used to spend days taking his parents’ electronics apart and trying to figure out how they produced sound. That interest soon turned into a craft. In 2004, Riggs, who’s lived in Charleston for more than a decade, got involved in home automation; he created Wire Monkeys in 2010, combining his knowledge and craftsmanship to create a landscape for home entertainment. With the help of Crestron Electronics and other many fine audio visual companies, he has installed many custom automated systems in the nation.

Design Tactics

Listening to you, our clients, is the first step. We’ll find out what you like to watch and listen to, how you use the electronics that you currently own, and any expectations that you may have. Then, we will design a system within your budget. Once a proposal is agreed upon, we’ll interact with any builders and designers to discuss placement of wall accessories, speakers, control panels and all other equipment for the project. Following the installation of your system, we will customize your system controllers to any specifications you may have. Since every client’s needs are different, this is a very important step in the integration process. At the completion of the project, we’ll give you a step-by-step orientation to ensure that you can comfortably operate the new system.
